When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
Media
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

MIRforge — Data Privacy
MIRforge (available at mirforge.regnovix.com) is a web-based tool that converts Manufacturer Incident Report (MIR) documents and Field Safety Corrective Action (FSCA) reports into structured XML for submission to regulatory authorities including MHRA (GB) and EU MDR competent authorities.
What we process: When you upload a document, its contents are transmitted to the Anthropic API solely for the purpose of extracting and structuring MIR/FSCA data into the required XML format. MIRforge does not store, log, or retain uploaded documents, extracted data, or generated XML outputs on its servers.
Free Trial Usage Tracking: To enforce fair usage limits on MIRforge’s free trial, we temporarily process the IP address of users accessing the tool. This is used solely to count XML generations per IP address within a 24-hour period. IP addresses are not linked to any personal profile, are not used for marketing or tracking purposes, and are automatically and permanently deleted after 24 hours. The legal basis for this processing is Legitimate Interests (Article 6(1)(f) UK GDPR / EU GDPR) — specifically, preventing abuse of our free trial service. This data is processed via Upstash, Inc. MIRforge Payments: If you purchase a MIRforge annual licence, your payment is processed securely by PayPal. Regnovix does not store your payment card details. We retain a cryptographically signed licence token in your browser’s local storage to verify your access. This token contains no personal data beyond a timestamp and a payment reference. Your responsibilities: You are responsible for ensuring that any document uploaded to MIRforge complies with your organisation’s data protection obligations under GDPR (EU) 2016/679, UK GDPR, and any applicable local regulations. Where possible, consider anonymising or pseudonymising patient data before upload.
Third-party processing: Document content is processed by Anthropic, Inc. via their API. Please refer to Anthropic’s Privacy Policy at https://www.anthropic.com/privacy for full details.
Data retention: MIRforge does not maintain any database of user submissions. Each conversion session is stateless — no data persists beyond the active browser session.
